If sleeping at the church please bring a sleeping bag and be prepared
to sleep as a group on the floor, all bedding must be "rolled up" early each morning

Please try to car pool as parking will be extremely limited in the vicinity of the church.

The church only has 100 parking stalls, most of which we want available for visitors to the church. There will likely be no available on-street or off-street parking for at least a kilometer or two around the church. Depending on number of volunteer vehicles arriving, we may require vehicles for volunteers staying several days, to be parked a considerable distance away and rely on public transit to come to the church.

Please note, TLC is about a 20 minute walk from the Richmond-Brighouse Station on the new Canada Line "Skybus", which connects to both the airport and downtown Vancouver. No. 620 Bridgeport Stn bus from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal also connects to the Canada Line. More details at www.translink.ca
HINT: use Translink's Trip Planner for transit directions right to the church.

For your information: the church is a 25 minute brisk walk from the Richmond Olympic Speed Skating Oval
and an easy five to ten minute walk from the nearest gate to the Richmond O-Zone.

*Prayer is a skill? During the Olympics, there may be times a volunteer is engaged in conversation with a visitor and an opportunity arises to go to a quiet place (like the sanctuary) and pray with/for the needs of the visitor. As far as all volunteers are concerned, the Olympics is not a sporting event, but an outreach opportunity. The goal for every volunteer is to share the love of Jesus with everyone who comes anywhere near the church.
